- In the “Main activity” field, enter com.whatsapp. MainActivity
- In the “Version code” field, enter 1
- In the “Version name” field, enter 1.0
- Check the “Landscape” box in the “Orientation” section
- In the “Minimum API level” drop-down menu, enter “8”. This is the minimum version of Android compatible with WhatsApp
- In the “Target API level” drop-down menu, enter “19”. This is the maximum version of Android compatible with WhatsApp
- Check the “Debug mode” box in the “Signing” section
- Click on “Generate” at the bottom of the page
- A file called “WhatsApp.apk” will be downloaded to your computer. This is your fake WhatsApp application! All we have to do now is host it online so that our victim can download it
Host the fake application on a server
For this part, you will need a web hosting service. I advise you to create a free account on 000webhost.com. Once you are registered and logged in, click on the “My Sites” tab
Click on “Create a new site” in the upper right corner
In the “Site name” field, enter a name for your site. For example: whatsapp-hack
Click on the “Create a site” button
Now that your site is created, we need to upload our fake WhatsApp application. To do this, go back to the 000webhost homepage and click on the “File Manager” tab
A page opens, showing all the files hosted on your account. Go to the “public_html” folder and click on the “Upload files” button in the upper right corner
A popup window appears. Click on the “Choose file” button and select the “WhatsApp.apk” file you downloaded earlier. Then click on the “Upload” button
Once the download is complete, click on the “Back” button
You should now see your WhatsApp application in the list of files hosted on your site. To find out its URL, right click on it and select “Copy link address”.
Your fake WhatsApp application is now online and can be downloaded by anyone! All you have to do is send this link to your victim via another messaging application
When she clicks on it, her smartphone will ask her if she wants to install the application. If she agrees, our malicious WhatsApp application will be installed on her device. We will be able to spy on all their conversations from a distance!
